Hey I'm Dave, the founder of Stretched Perth

 

I wasn’t always doing this.

I used to sit at a desk as an accountant, ticking boxes and living the “safe” life — even though deep down, I hated it. Eventually, I reached a point where I knew I had to make a change. So I took the risk, left the security behind, and followed my real passion: health, movement, and helping people feel better in their bodies.

That was over 20 years ago.

Since then, I’ve stretched thousands of clients, worked with people from all walks of life, and travelled the world to keep learning. In 2015, I brought assisted stretching to Perth after flying over to Arizona to train with the best in the game. I was hooked — and I haven’t looked back since.

These days, I’m also a busy dad. And like many of my clients, I’ve noticed that once you hit 40, your body starts to change. You feel tighter. Slower. Stiffer. Recovery takes longer. And those old injuries? They seem to creep back in just when you don’t need them.

That’s why I’m passionate about helping people move better, feel younger, and get back to doing the things they love without pain holding them back.

What is Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) 

 

FST is a gentle, hands-on stretching technique that targets not just your muscles, but the deeper connective tissue (your fascia) that surrounds and supports them. Over time — through sitting, stress, injuries, or just life — this fascia can get tight and restricted, making everything feel more tense than it should be.

The magic of FST is that you’re not doing the stretching — I do it for you. You just lie back, relax, and I guide your body through slow, pain-free movements that help restore space, mobility, and ease. No cracking, no pushing through pain, no awkward positions. Just deep, restorative release that lasts.

I’ve been using this technique for over 10 years now with people just like you — people who’ve tried foam rolling, yoga, massages, you name it — but still feel like something’s “off.” FST gets into the areas that most other methods miss, especially around the hips, lower back, and pelvis.
